It’s easy to get caught up in the demands of life but how you choose to start off the morning will set your tone for the rest of the day, so it’s important to make those choices wisely. The Benefits of Morning Meditation

What your mind and body do right after you open your eyes each morning plays an important role in your day.

Sit up straight and tall, relax your eyes and breathe in.

Seems easy enough right? These three simple steps, if applied to your daily morning routine, will have a powerful and ultimately positive impact on how the rest of your day is going to go. A few benefits of meditating are…

Step 1.) Get Comfortable

 Sitting up straight and in a comfortable position will help us develop and maintain a clear mind. When you alter the state of your body, your mental state changes along with it.

Step 2.) Relax your eyes

Once you have settled down comfortably, it is time to relax your eyes. Remain half open and gazed down along the line of your nose, when ready close eyes and focus on being present and clearing out your head for the day.

Step 3.) Breathe Deeply

Turn your attention over to your breathing, letting its rhythm remain normal. Clear your mind of any distraction of life.  Focus in on all the amazing things in your life. Find what makes you smile and hold it right there. All the worry in your life that you previously held onto will begin to slip away and you are left with the calmness of your breathing.

You are now in the state of meditation. Recharge your mind each morning with 5 minutes of meditation, it will activate positive energy and help you get started on the right foot.

If you are having a hard time creating a regular habit of meditating, don’t beat yourself up about it. It takes time to establish a morning meditation routine, but I encourage you to give it a try! All it takes is 5 minutes out of your day to feel grateful for your life. Choose to see the good that meditation will bring you.
